As an Accounting Assistant within our Cost Accounting Department, you will support the Accounts Receivable function and contribute to the financial accuracy of our operations. You will play a vital role in processing and monitoring invoices, performing reconciliations, and assisting with purchase order creation. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate with a background in economics or finance to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic finance team.

Responsibilities:

  • Track incoming and outgoing service invoices to ensure timely processing and monitor credit limits and payment terms for accuracy and compliance.
  • Accurately post service-related invoices into the company’s accounting system in a timely manner, ensuring proper classification and documentation.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of vendor accounts to ensure consistency between internal records and vendor statements, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist in the creation and management of Purchase Orders in accordance with internal policies and procedures, supporting procurement and accounting alignment.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, supporting audits and reporting needs.
  • Work closely with the finance and procurement teams to support process efficiency and data accuracy across accounting operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
  • Experience in an accounting department will be considered a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (such as SAP) or accounting software will be considered an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Good command of MS Excel and other MS Office applications.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Fluency in English and Greek (both written and spoken).
