ManpowerGroup Greece, on behalf of its client, is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for the ICT Team in Athens.
Our client is a well-known firm that provides Managed and IT Services to Enterprise clients. The company’s headquarters are in Thessaloniki and have also a branch in Athens.

🖋️You will be reporting to: Networking and Systems Manager
What you will do:
You will be part of the Engineering team, participating in the design, documentation, presentation, implementation, and support of both on-premise and cloud networking solutions.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategic plans that align with the company’s business objectives.
More specifically, you will be:
- Designing and implementing operational networks encompassing Local Area Networks (LAN), Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN), and Wide Area Networks (WAN)
- Configuring and deploying software, servers, routers, and various other network devices
- Monitoring and ensuring the performance and integrity of the network infrastructure
- Resolving escalated issues from support tiers by effectively troubleshooting both cloud and local infrastructure
- Automating tasks and diligently monitoring their efficacy
- Providing mentorship to team members on technical matters
- Creating, overseeing, and testing security measures, including access authentication and disaster recovery procedures
- Engaging in communication with users as necessary
- Maintaining comprehensive technical documentation
- Proposing enhancements to network performance, capacity, and scalability
Requirements
- A University Degree, Technical Degree, or equivalent
- 5+ years of practical working experience in design, implementation & support of medium-large scale networking solutions
- CCNP Cisco Certification
- Extensive working experience in CISCO Routers & Switches, wireless networks
- Experience in Firewall Appliances (Checkpoint, Fortinet, Sophos)
- In-depth knowledge of routing and switching protocols and technologies (QoS, PBR, STP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, IPSec, VoIP, Wireless, etc.)
- Experience in developing, designing and planning of security concepts with Firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN systems
- Ability to implement improved platform security
- Ability to address and resolve technical issues, received by the Helpdesk, based on strict SLAs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English enabling effective communication with all levels of management
- Strong Project management skills
- Strong customer service skills and mindset
It would be considered an asset:
- CCSP Cisco Certifications
- Experience in VMware or a VMware Certification
