ManpowerGroup Greece, on behalf of its client, a production plant in Thessaloniki, member of a multinational group, is looking for General Ledger SSC Controller.

🖋️ You will be reporting to: SSC Manager Italy, Greece
Main responsibilities:
- Cooperate with the other Italian SSC department (Account receivable, Account payables and treasury department) and follow European Shared Service Centre procedures.
- Provide services to the plant in agreement with SLA between SSC Italy and the plant.
- Formulates and controls the accounting practices on the proper monitoring and representation of its transactions, the compiling of monthly & annual filings to the tax authorities with the support of an External Senior Accountant if needed.
- VAT returns
- Withholding Taxes (on salaries, free lancers’ fees, Contactors etc) as well as stamp duties and other taxes
- Company Income Tax Return
- Tax fillings re company real property (ENFIA)
- Prepares and signs the Company's Financial Statements in accordance with group and Greek Accounting Standards
- Prepares other Financial Reports as required by the various State Services (BoG, Greek Statistic Service etc) or by the group.
- Participates in the monthly & quarterly reporting re the issues under his/her responsibility.
- Communicates with public authorities when required with the support of an external senior accountant if needed.
- Serves administrative & tax audits with the aim of speedy completion and with excellent results with the support of an external senior accountant if needed.
- Involved in Credit control with SSC AR Manager.
- Participates in customers valuation & communicates with them in case of overdue accounts. Follows up & clears bad debts.
- Special ad hoc tasks
Requirements
- University degree in Finance and Accounting with an A’ class license (Economic Chamber of Greece)
- Good knowledge of Greek Accounting Standards, IFRS and the legislation of Société Anonyms
- Knowledge of Corporate Income Tax, VAT, withholding taxes, ERP systems, will be considered as advantage.
- At least 3-4 years of experience in a medium/large enterprise with well-organized financial & accounting services, in a similar position or in an audit company.
- Strong drafting & communication skills in English both orally and in writing.
- Takes initiatives, target oriented, highly organized, analytical thinking, team working, able to manage tasks within deadlines.
- Fulfilled military service (in case of male).
