Event Planner (Based in Thessaloniki)

Adecco is currently seeking, on behalf of its client, an international well-known company, for a dynamic professional to cover the following position:

 Event Planner 
( Based in Thessaloniki )
 Key Responsibilities

•    Coordinate & execute day-to-day planning for EMEA regional meetings and events.
•    Liaise with Regional BU Leads to ensure alignment with business needs and requirements.
•    Support local market colleagues to meet delegate & event-specific needs.
•    Ensure compliance with policies and local regulations concerning benefits, venues & event organization.
•    Manage communications for event details and reconciliation processes.
•    Serve as the primary contact for resolving planning-related issues.
•    Handle logistical aspects, including initiating event requests, budget approvals, and purchase orders.
•    Maintain communication and follow-ups with regional and market stakeholders.
•    Ensure alignment with KPIs for event timelines and processing.
•    Maintain up-to-date records in systems (Cvent, Ariba & others).
•    Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders 

Basic Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Business (or a related discipline)
•    3-4 years of experience in meeting & event planning
•    Fluency in English - additional languages are preferred.
•    Proficiency in PC skills , knowledge of Cvent & Ariba ( is preferred) 
•    Comprehensive knowledge of the meetings & travel industry
•    Experience in a large customer facing operations team
•    Experience with accounting or compliance / audit transactions, 
•    Project management skills & ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
•    Good organizational & interpersonal skills, attention to detail and accuracy in tasks and responsibilities
•    Strength with multitasking & ability to work under pressure. 
•    High level of self-motivation, energy and flexibility
•    Experience with Foreign Corrupt Practices Act transactions preferred
