ManpowerGroup Greece, on behalf of its client, a Fortune 500 firm, leader at its domain, is looking for an experienced Cloud Data Engineer to join their Athens' Tech Hub.
Our client has a Tech Hub in Athens with more than 60 employees and the Hub provides IT Services across all corporate functions of the organization in Europe & the USA.
📌 Location: Athens, North sector (walking distance to metro station)
📍 Working Model: Hybrid working model (3 days office, 2 remote)

What you will do:
As a Cloud Data Engineer, you will be part of the Data Analytics & AI team focusing on developing and implementing the company’s Cloud Data strategy. In this role you will have the opportunity to work closely with the business to understand, innovate and develop cloud solutions to support the company’s data transition to the Cloud.
More specifically you will:
- Provide data architecture leadership in guiding the development of conceptual, logical and physical data models to support BI, analytics, data science & machine learning models on a hosted cloud environment (Azure)
- Develop a migration plan from existing on-premise infrastructure to cloud
- Implement processes and automations that will ensure that the data is correct, reconciling data sources and identifying inconsistencies and data quality issues
- Design, implement and maintain ETL processes on Azure
- Develop and document data architecture solutions, including technical designs, guidelines and standards
- Create and maintain target-state data architectures on the cloud
- Establish processes that allow for cleaner integration and effective use of data within the business, ensuring final models are productionized in the data warehouse / core systems
- Provide technical know-how and strategic direction for the technologies, standards, processes and architectures for data science models
- Maintain understanding of emerging data architecture concepts and methods and associated technology trends
Requirements
- A BSc/MSc Degree in Computer Science or relevant field
- 4+ Years Data Engineering Experience, at least 2 of which on Cloud Technologies
- Working with various types of data, ideally financial (SAP Environment ) / manufacturing data
- Developing data pipeline architectures from scratch
- Creating, testing, and iteratively improving new data models
- Working with data / IT teams to enable models to be systemized and driving decisions in real, or near-time
- Applied experience in working with Azure data services
- Applied experience with at least one of the following Data technologies: Synapse, Spark, Databricks or similar
- Advanced knowledge of relational, dimensional, and tabular data modelling principles and practices
- Excellent knowledge of SQL and Python for the use of data extraction, cleansing, and analysis
- Experience with managing data (eg. data architecture, data quality, metadata management, ETL, analytics, Database administration)
- Effective Business Problem Definition / Structuring skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, in English
- Team player mentality
Any experience in the following will be considered a strong asset:
- Experience with Fabric and Airflow
- Experience in collaborating with Data Science / ML engineering teams
