Application Developer (z/OS Mainframe)
(fix term contract)
Job description

• Participate in full software development lifecycle of an IT project
• Design client & server-side architectures
• Apply existing standards for programming, naming, security & performance and provide proper code documentation
• Write clean, scalable code
• Test and deploy applications and systems
• Revise, update, refactor and debug code
• Improve existing software
• Act as technical consultant for the client

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience as an Application Developer (back-end preferred) in Card System area.
• Willingness to learn application development in z/OS platform (if already not familiar)
• Knowledge of programming languages such as C, Java, or Python
• Experience with relational databases such as DB2 (preferred) and SQL Server
•  Solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
•  Familiarity with software development lifecycle methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
•  Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a distributed team adhering to strict deadlines and challenging targets
•  Analytical thinking with problem-solving abilities
•  Strong written and verbal communication skills
•  Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
•  Fulfilled military services obligations (if applicable)
