Accounting Manager
The role is responsible for executing tax and accounting tasks for the Company and its Subsidiaries under its purview. This includes contributing to all necessary activities for accurate accounting representation of commercial transactions, staying updated on tax matters and compliance with tax regulations, preparing individual and consolidated financial reports and budgets, and assisting in the preparation of Corporate and Consolidated Financial Statements. The position is part of the Group's Accounting Managers team as defined in the current organizational structure.
Job Description
•Organizes, monitors, and oversees the daily operations of the accounting departments of the companies under their supervision. Specializes in SAP and its applications, supervises, and trains their team within a unified digital group environment.
•Handles and executes specialized accounting tasks, proposing and implementing effective solutions.
•Supervises and supports the activities of their direct reports.
•Conducts reviews of general ledger entries.
•Reconciles general ledger accounts and subsidiary systems, such as customer-supplier accounts and fixed asset registers.
•Oversees the month-end closing process and the preparation of periodic tax filings.
•Supervises the submission of monthly and annual tax returns, including VAT, income tax, and withholding taxes.
•Oversees the preparation of VAT recap statements and the calculation and filing of withholding taxes (e.g., payroll tax, freelancer tax, contractor tax, interest tax).
•Monitors and stays updated on changes in tax legislation, identifying challenges and proposing actionable solutions.
•Participates in the preparation of individual financial statements and consolidated financial statements.
•Supports transfer pricing processes and audits related to tax certificates.
•Prepares and submits the Group's Country-by-Country report.
•Responsible for preparing the list of individuals obligated to declare assets and informing relevant parties.
•Maintains compliance with internal accounting procedures and meets set project timelines.
•Actively leads the implementation of new systems and applications and provides training where gaps are identified.
•Coordinates with public authorities, banks, and external financial and legal advisors.
•Prepares supporting documentation for external auditors.
•Enforces unified policies on financial services within the organization.
•Works closely with personnel in subsidiaries to ensure compliance and efficient accounting operations.
•Signs documents as legally required within areas of responsibility
Desired Candidate Profile
•Strong knowledge of Accounting, Tax Code Compliance (K.F.A.S.), and VAT.
•Proficient in computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel for accounting purposes.
•Advanced proficiency in the English language (both spoken and written).
•Strong command of SAP.
•Experience in an auditing firm is a plus.
•Strong communication and organizational skills.
•Team-oriented with a commitment to efficiency and adherence to deadlines.
•5-10 years in a similar role.
•Bachelor’s degree in accounting or economics. A master’s degree and/or relevant certifications are highly desirable.
